1988-1994 Artemis k  tries his hand as both bassist and vocalist in the punk bands Rudimentary Knowledge  and Pontius Pilate and the Nail Drivin Five.  Although enjoyable fluff for the moment, Artemis grows discouraged over creative differences and the direction both bands begin taking and calls it quits.  Experiences a shift in musical preference and starts to explore anything and everything in the Wax Trax/Cleopatra vein.

1995-1996 Trading in the bass for a sampler, Artemis decides to try his hand in the industrial music realm.  Joins with former Pilate bandmate Aaron Potter in hopes of fusing electronica  and guitar.  Several  compositions  and avenues are created and explored, but neither man is completely happy with the others approach and the project is put on hold.  Artemis continues to compile sounds and sequences solo.  In 1996 Artemis meets 10 year Experimental Music veteran PBK and delves into more abstract music forms and improvisational creative techniques.  Several months and jam sessions later, PBK  asks Artemis to perform alongside him at the 2Experiences Festival in Paris, France in November.  Notables also on the bill include Frances own Toy Bizarre and NYCs ConDemek.  The show is a success, and the duo decide to pursue their combined efforts further back in the States.

1997-1998  Artemis and PBK begin recording what will become hours upon hours of live improv jam sessions to DAT.  During this period the two also happen upon a few other like minded artists and poets and form the Creative Expression Collective in an attempt to introduce new concepts in music to their native close-minded city of Flint.  These members of the CEC are invited to the jam sessions, and the group .Com is formed.  Even though over 2 years of recordings are archived to DAT, no official release is ever issued.  PBK  continues to release his solo recordings and features Artemis as a guest artist on his Mescaline Tracks cassette, which is later remastered and released on cd in 2000.  Artemis puts forth his solo efforts of Secrets Within and Forever Fade, which gain reputable reviews in various underground magazines, including Godsend.  Artemis releases limited cassette recordings of his jam sessions with PBK under the now coined name of Acclimate, which also generate favourable reviews.  The duo perform live in Flint on a number of occasions as the headlining act, and again during the national tours of ConDemek, Kid-606, Lesser, and Totemplow.  Damian Catera of ConDemek fame releases The Chaos Chronicles on his label HarshHouse, which is a  video documentation of the ConDemek tour and also features performances by Acclimate and Filament.  PBK compiles 60 minutes of recordings with Artemis and puts forth Edge and Effect by Acclimate.  This gains the attention of Japan based noise label Xerxes Records, who agree to release a full length compact disc.  Ernest Carter aka Pookie of the CEC asks Artemis and PBK to contribute to his X-Plainations release, which is a combination of spoken word and experimental music.                        PBK also forms The Mulatto Experience with Pookie and the two perform live a handful of times, with Artemis contributing on one occasion.  In an interview with the local newspaper The Flint Journal, The Mulatto Experience refers to .Com as having too many moving parts.  Remaining members of the CEC are put off by this comment and .Com and the CEC become a trinity.  Damian Catera remembers Flints generosity and invites Acclimate to perform at NYCs legendary venue, The Knitting Factory, with an encore improvisation consisting of Acclimate, ConDemek, and Pookie.  HarshHouse is set to release the entire performance as a live disc, but troubles with the soundman lead to the whole recording being scrapped.

1999  PBK  continues releasing solo material and performing with Pookie as The Mulatto Experience.  Artemis continues recording sounds and sequences but releases nothing during this time.  Longtime experimental promoter Manny Theiner contacts Artemis concerning live gig organization.  Taking a break from the music circuit, Artemis arranges performances for Damian Catera, KK Null, and Cold Meat Industry act Sanctum.  Xerxes Records contacts Artemis about releasing a full length Acclimate disc.  PBK is notified but expresses no interest so Artemis decides to go it alone, using the name Potato Cock for the album as it was a name jokingly given to him by his future wife Marcie and later playfully exploited by the CEC.  Artemis is also contacted by the label Elsie, Jack, & Chair to contribute to a remix of legendary minimalist AUBE’s Pages From The Book release.

2000  Xerxes releases Potato Cock as a limited edition cd of 65 copies.  Elsie, Jack, & Chair decide to omit Acclimates submission from their Rewriting The Book release as they deem it too rhythmic, so Artemis decides to use the composition on what will later become the Miscreant disc.  Acclimate performs live at Auckland, New Zealands Vampyre Ball and is also featured on Club Bizarres Black Market compilation.  After returning to the States, Artemis is contacted by PBK and plans for an Acclimate reunion release and national tour are set in motion.  The two collaborate briefly, recording over an hour of new material, but PBK abruptly decides to go it alone, marking their last collaborative effort.  The session is never released and is later lost in Artemis overseas move.  the tour never sees fruition.  Artemis re-examines his archive and begins compiling both new and old material for the Miscreant release.  Artemis contributes to Australias experimental radio program Atmospheric Disturbances.

2001  Potato Cock receives international airplay across the globe.  Acclimate performs live with Damian Catera again at NYCs Knitting Factory, both solo and as a duo.  This leads to Acclimate performing again with Catera in April as a duo at Cleveland, Ohios Dark Electronic Music Festival, presented by the LiveBait Recording Foundation.  Acclimate performs again on Halloween night in Cleveland with In Deaths Throes and Lockweld.  Invisible Records asks Artemis to contribute 2 tracks to its Notes From Thee Real Underground series, which is released in December.  Acclimate performs at The Batcave in December of that year with Coup D Etat and Defragmentation, also featured on the 2x cd.
